Pre Kindergarten Program

All programs at Mary Go Round are built around the Pyramid Model. The Pyramid Model is a nationally recognized program that focuses on building strong social and emotional skills for preschoolers.

The Pre Kindergarten Classroom will open a new world of learning for your 4 to 5-year-olds.  We work on building a strong academic foundation with math, science, literacy, and writing activities.  This is the year that your child will begin to expand on skills critical for future academic success.

The core curriculum program is “Let’s Begin with the Letter People”.  This comprehensive curriculum program is organized around themes such as, “All About Me” and “Insects Everywhere” that integrate knowledge across different subject areas of literacy, math, science, and phonemic awareness.

At our school, we proudly use the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum to build essential phonemic awareness, phonics, and writing skills. This fun and effective program offers engaging lessons that children love, ensuring a strong foundation for reading success. With nearly 20 years of proven results, Heggerty covers crucial skills like rhyme, blending, and segmenting, making learning enjoyable and impactful for your child.

During Pre Kindergarten, your child will explore, learn, and grow within our enriching classroom based on the NH Early Learning Standards.  Opportunities are provided for one-on-one instruction and small group learning.  Each day consists of a morning meeting, math, science, literacy, free choice, and outside play.  The goal is for each child to become independent, self-assured, and graduate ready to enter Kindergarten with a strong academic foundation and social skills.
